Kannon and Monk Present: Chillin Like a Villain... →
Monk is the man. My dude stays on his grind, always got another project in the works, always plotting away like Dr. Claw, even when he’s telling you “I gotta take a break right now, seriously.” We all know he’s telling the truth: he does need to take a break. But it’s hard to be so supportive when he’s dropping the latest installment of Chillin Like a Villain...

It’s always nice to see a friend turn a passion into well-earned recognition. Based out of Florida, Miss Reds has been writing for about 5 years now and reps one of the bigger graf crews in Florida (AM7). Aside from making a name for herself within a short span of time, she’s stays humble and never lets that big inch of fame affect her attitude. It’s something I appreciate.

Optimus Prime is the man, as far as I'm concerned.
I’m a nerd. This is hardly news. I grew up loving Transformers and Captain America and all kinds of things that I’m not supposed to still love now because I’m supposed to be a grown-up, but I do.
I got to see Wolverine (granted a taller version of Weapon X) come to life in 2000 thanks to Bryan Singer. Something Wizard magazine had been talking about since I was mimicking Jim...
Breakin For Birney 12
Yes yes, y’all! Breakin For Birney is back again. Everything is going down this Saturday April 23rd at American University. Peep the flyer above and come through to vibe, chill, catch wreck, or just support a good cause and see some ill dancers getting loose!
This has been my favorite jam since back when I first started making the hike up from the ‘burg to DC for events, well...

(click the title for the footage)
You ever run out of nice stuff to say about someone because you just got that much love for them?
Yeah, it’s like that today.
I’m proud to have shared the floor with DC’s own Tasha and Toyin of Urban Artistry/Assassins Crew. For most of the world, their debut in France was likely something of a surprise. Watching the footage from the finals...

CNN lists the most iconic dancers of the 20th... →
Ken Swift recognized as the number 2 most iconic dancer of the 20th century. I’m no scholar when it comes to more recognized and established dance forms, but I’m proud to see the man receiving recognition and respect for all of his work.
CNN’s program will air on February 24th. I’ll be setting my DVR.
Always an inspiration. Thank you for everything. Much respect,...

"Stay Righteous."
You know it’s funny; time passes and they say that the more things change, the more they stay the same. Ask me if that’s the case again in another 9 years, because this time around it’s all new to me. Everybody’s got jokes because I run with a lot of cats that were in the game long before I was, and my kickoff started further away from where things were really happening. I would tell you that it...

So apparently Crazy Legs from the Rocksteady Crew is a DJ and has a podcast. Ok, that’s cool.
Apparently this podcast is also done live on webcam. No doubt, get your hustle on, Legs.
Apparently this is on around midday and called, Lunch Breaks… and it’s also a cooking show.
To review: Crazy Legs, of the Rocksteady Crew has a webcam podcast DJ cooking show. And I’m pretty...

Too be, or not too be
I love hip-hop. Always have.
Since the moment I heard the first kick drum on the first Run DMC album, hip-hop was what I chose first.
In a chorus of punk, rock, pop, hardcore & country I would always hear the MC first, like he was standing in the front row with his mic turned up 3db louder than anyone else.
I didn’t grow up in the projects, or even in what I would consider the ghetto....
Some people don't like jokes
Me: Hey, how are you this morning, what can I get you?
Her: Pack of Marlboro Lights in a box.
Me: Sure, can I see your ID?
Her: Oh shoot, I forgot it in my office. I work right upstairs.
Me: oh ok, which office?
Her: Super Excellent Computer Stuff Inc.* I come here everyday.
Me: Oh, ok, yeah I know Dan* (the owner) very well. That’s fine. It’s my first day being back to working...
My mind is the strongest muscle in my body. I can make anything happen. You just...
