You ever run out of nice stuff to say about someone because you just got that much love for them?

Yeah, it’s like that today.

I’m proud to have shared the floor with DC’s own Tasha and Toyin of Urban Artistry/Assassins Crew. For most of the world, their debut in France was likely something of a surprise. Watching the footage from the finals of the competition I can say that I’m just as impressed with these two ladies as I am when I catch them downtown at Eighteenth Street Lounge on a Sunday night.

The first US champions, the first FEMALE champions; it’s an honor to know them because they’re tremendous dancers and great people. Shouts for the victory, ladies, you deserve it.

More importantly, much love and respect for just being phenomenal all around. Titles will come and go, but leaving your mark is something else.
