No excuses, i should have had this written up a couple of week back, but a mixture of exhaustion and work can put a halt to anything.
Between being a full time mother, spoken word artist, and voice over specialist my good friend Lena can now add photography to her craft list. Recently settling back from being over in Japan, i was going through her sessions and skimming the broad range of photos she had taken. There were a few in particular that stood out to me, and it tended to be her shots of black/white photography. In general Ive always found myself drawn to those in particular because of the mysterious and almost melancholy surrounding that’s shown in general. I always feel it’s hard for me to critique something i personally have never attempted fully myself, but i know what looks good and appeals to my eyes that serves some form of credit doesn’t it? Anyhow, I lost touch with her over the months and retraced what i missed out on over the time. I came to the conclusion that i need to get out more, and stop staring at these four walls.
But enough of the Debbie Downers L can always show me the brighter things in life, and compared to life the balance of both positive and negative is always gonna be given to you. Whether its through a simple conversation or expressing it towards another outlet, i can catch her drift and where she’s going at with her direction even if it’s through a camera. I remember re-adjusting the clock to wake up and be there bright in the morning for her (or late at night on her side) to have those conscious conversations to keep us from exploding on the people around us. It’s people like her that you learn to appreciate, and continue to grow with that later down the road plant there place in your mind, body, and soul. Keep up the work,i see you!
